Viaton Energy Private Limited or VEPL was incorporated in the year 2009 to set up and run Biomass based Power Plants. The first unit of the company was commissioned in January 2014. The unit is located in Khokhar Khurd Village in Mansa District of Punjab and has a capacity of 10MW.

The Unit uses Agriculture Residue as fuel thus saving precious foreign exchange and offering, additional income source to thousands of nearby farmers. Our unit prevents nearly 65000 Metric Tons of Paddy Straw from being burnt in the open fields by farmers thereby not only reducing pollution and smog but also preventing the degradation of soil thus reducing the requirement of fertilizers to the farmers. The smog which is choking major cities is also a health hazard for those residing in small towns and villages.

Our pioneering effort has transformed a problem source into a source of energy and provides positive livelihood to over 5000 persons directly and indirectly across the entire supply chain.
